Susan Julian Gates is our Executive Director. Susan is an entrepreneur, an impresaria who founded and runs Illumination Opera Company and an arts center, an international award-winning documentary maker, and an attorney. Susan keeps us all on our toes. As you can see, she has a lot of energy and experience across a wide range of activities!
Madeleine Needles is our Creative Director. Madeleine is a career librarian and educator who has worked on children’s museum exhibits, the NASA-funded vodcast series, Space Weather FX, and co-authored articles on getting young people interested in science. At Flying Corgi, Madeleine creates a pathway for kids and adults to share the joy of reading, and is a non-stop fountain of inventive ideas for new products!
